Las Vegas, Nevada November 10, 2015:  WellHealth Quality Care announced today that members of the Nevada Health Co-Op plans will have options in place to continue with the quality WellHealth network doctors they have come to depend on and trust.  While the Nevada Health Co-Op will no longer be in place after January 2016, strides have already been made to ensure consistent and continuous coverage options are available to current WellHealth members moving forward.

On learning of the decision for the Nevada Health Co-Op to cease operations, Steven Keltie, President of WellHealth, said,   "Our partnership with the Nevada Health Co-Op was a pivotal moment for health care in Nevada.  They were the catalyst for an Accountable Care model being integrated with commercial insurance plans.”

To continue to help give current Nevada Health Co-Op members a positive healthcare experience, WellHealth will continue to work with individuals to help them find the perfect WellHealth plan option for them during the 2016 open enrollment.  “There will be two additional insurance plans consumers can choose from,’ said Keltie. “One insurance plan will be available through the exchange, Prominence Health Plan, and the other will be available direct to consumers.”

“WellHealth is looking forward to continuing the same quality network they offer current Nevada Health Co-Op Star and Connected members," Keltie noted.  The two new health plans will offer the same quality of doctors and healthcare delivery that current members are accustomed to. WellHealth’s Health Advocates will continue to be available for members who need assistance regarding accessing their care or collecting more information on the new plans that will utilize WellHealth’s Healthcare Delivery System.
