Las Vegas, Nevada (October 15, 2014) – Continuing our mission to provide collaborative and comprehensive patient care, WellHealth Quality Care has launched an integrated, high-risk pregnancy center within WellHealth Women’s Specialty Care. Named the WellHealth Center for Perinatal Medicine, this specialized new facility is led by Dr. Siri Kjos who has over twenty-five years of experience as a Board Certified Maternal-fetal Medicine Specialist. She is also an internationally recognized expert and lecturer in medically complicated pregnancies and related diseases.

The WellHealth Center for Perinatal Medicine is the first of its kind in Nevada, featuring a high-risk team composed of perinatal nurses, sonographers, diabetes educators and nutritionists. When a patient is referred to this high-risk team from within WellHealth Women’s Specialty Care, the team works hand-in-hand with the patient’s already established obstetrician to develop a completely personalized plan for monitoring and treatment. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

The center, along with its high-risk program, allows patients to remain under the care of their established obstetrician, but provides the additional support and monitoring of a dedicated high-risk team. This innovative, patient-focused concept allows us to provide truly integrated and collaborative prenatal care.
