LAS VEGAS—Dr. Chirisse Taylor graduated from the prestigious two-year Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) Fellowship Program at Las Vegas Minimally Invasive Surgery (LVMIS) on June 25 at Vdara Hotel. The LVMIS fellowship is only one of 44 American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) programs offered within the United States, and has the most hands-on training out of any other program.

The program specializes in the latest minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical treatments for gynecologic and uro-gynecologic issues. Through the fellowship, Taylor operated with local expert surgeons in multiple disciplines, using the most state-of-the-art technology in cutting edge surgical suites.

Prior to completing her fellowship, Taylor obtained her undergraduate and master’s degree at Cornell University and Yale School of Public Health. Following her graduation, she moved to Boston and attended Harvard Medical School. Dr. Taylor's residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed in Chicago. She is also a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologist (ACOG). Dr. Taylor recently accepted a position at a prestigious hospital in New York City.

Following Taylor’s graduation, Dr. Erica Stockwell entered her second year of the fellowship and was named senior fellow.

In addition to advancing Dr. Stockwell to senior fellow, LVMIS announces Dr. Jessica Sisto as junior fellow. Originally from California, Dr. Jessica Sisto has traveled all around the world completing her education. She received her undergraduate degree from Pitzer College, and obtained her master's degree at Drexel University. While completing her medical training at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, she spent a year abroad in Central America working on a maternal health education project, which ignited her interest in international health. She then returned to California to finish her OB/GYN residency at the University of California Irvine.

Dr. Sisto considers women's healthcare her passion and has always been interested in women's global health, focusing on underserved communities. She has worked in Nicaragua, Honduras, Ecuador, and Tanzania, and plans to continue to fight for all women's access to healthcare around the world.

While serving as a fellow with LVMIS, Sisto will focus on vaginal surgery, traditional laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, pelvic reconstruction, and robotics, as well as minimally invasive office-based procedures.
