LAS VEGAS— WellHealth Medical Group has announced that Nithya Gopal, MD; David Howard, MD, PhD; and Lamarr Tyler, DO, FACOG will join the WellHealth Women’s Specialty Care division, bringing their many years of experience in women’s health to the team.

Dr. Gopal received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from New York University. It was during her time at NYU that she developed a passion for women’s healthcare and reproductive rights. She went on to receive her medical degree from Ross University School, where she was an active member of Physicians for Human Rights. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, during which time she developed a strong interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

Dr. Gopal’s professional memberships include American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In her free time, Dr. Gopal is an avid tennis player and enjoys hiking and traveling.

Dr. Howard received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Johns Hopkins University, and completed his MD and PhD in Epidemiology through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He completed an internship at the New York Presbyterian Hospital followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

Before joining WellHealth Women’s Specialty Care, Dr. Howard spent three years as an active duty physician in the United States Air Force. Dr. Howard’s professional memberships include American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Howard’s passion is research. To date, he has authored or co-authored 19 publications. He is very active as a scientific reviewer for The Green Journal, one of the leading OB-GYN journals in the US, and for the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

Dr. Tyler began his residency in the department of Family Practice, and after his first year, switched to Obstetrics & Gynecology after discovering his passion for women’s health. He believes that patients should be active participants and engaged in their healthcare. His philosophy is that the doctor-patient relationship is one of a shared partnership.

He seeks to provide patients with up-to-date, evidence-based healthcare options, enabling them to make the most informed choices regarding their healthcare needs. He believes every patient is unique and their care should be individualized. He optimizes the most current and minimally invasive technologies to optimize female health. He embraces health and wellness and encourages positive lifestyle changes. In his free time, he enjoys living an active lifestyle and lists cycling, skiing, and yoga as a big part of his fitness regimen.
