Las Vegas, NV, 07/14/2015: Today, WellHealth Medical Group announced that Jasmine Pedroso, MD, who recently graduated from the two-year American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) approved Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship with Las Vegas Minimally Invasive Surgery—Women’s Pelvic Health Center, will continue working with WellHealth after completing her fellowship as a medical provider with the Women’s Health division.

Dr. Jasmine Pedroso grew up in San Diego, California as a first-generation Filipino-American. She received her Bachelors Degree from the University of California, Berkeley with a double major in Integrative Biology and Socio-Cultural Anthropology. After working for multiple non-profit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, she attended the Harvard School of Public Health, where she served as Harvard University Presidential Scholar, and received her Masters Degree in Public Health with a focus on Society, Human Development and Health, and a concentration in Women, Gender and Health. She obtained her medical degree from UCLA Geffen School of Medicine, and finished her residency at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Obstetrics and Gynecology, before completing her Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship with LVMIS.

With regard to staying in Las Vegas, Dr. Pedroso said, “I originally was going to practice in California once I finished with my fellowship, but I fell in love with the people of this city. Las Vegas is truly making great strides in the medical community, with more and more physicians choosing Nevada for their residency and fellowship opportunities. I am so excited to continue providing care here in the Valley.” Dr. Jasmine Pedroso will be working at WellHealth’s Women’s Specialty Care Sunrise office. She will help patients with her highly specialized skill set, including minimally invasive surgery, pelvic reconstructive and fertility surgery, and management of endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and sexual dysfunction, adolescent health, as well as prenatal care.
